H13 hot-work tool steel plate with chromium-molybdenum-vanadium alloy composition, exhibits outstanding hot hardness and thermal-fatigue resistance under cyclic high-temperature working conditions.
Excellent heat-shock resistance and good tempering stability, resists thermal cracking during repeated hot-forging, die-casting and hot-extrusion production cycles.
Fine homogeneous microstructure, good hardenability, delivers balanced strength, toughness and wear resistance after heat treatment, suitable for heavy-duty hot-working mold base and cavity inserts.
Good machinability in annealed state, supports laser cutting, water-jet cutting and custom blank processing, helps customers shorten mold-making cycle.

Q1. What is H13 hot work tool steel plate
H13 plate is chromium-molybdenum-vanadium hot work tool steel mainly used for high-temperature mould manufacturing. It features excellent thermal-crack resistance and keeps stable mechanical performance under repeated heating-cooling cycles.
Q2. What equivalent grades and standards apply to H13 steel plate
Our H13 steel plate follows ASTM A681 standard. Equivalent grades are GB 4Cr5MoSiV1, JIS SKD61 and DIN 1.2344. Mill test certificate covering chemical composition and mechanical properties is available for every batch.
Q3. What thickness and processing options can you supply

Q4. What are the main typical applications for H13 tool steel plate
H13 plate is mostly used for aluminium and zinc alloy die-casting dies, hot forging dies, hot extrusion dies, hot shear blades and high-requirement plastic injection moulds needing good polishing performance.
Q5. What is the delivery hardness and target hardness after heat treatment
As-delivered annealed H13 plate hardness is ≤235 HB for machining. After proper quenching and tempering treatment, the target working hardness reaches 48-54 HRC with balanced toughness and heat-fatigue performance.
